Bujumbura Burundi Shopping

The nature reserve Rusizi is located in the capital Bujumbura and could be the first nature hike in Burundi. There are many lakes with extensive hollows rich in birdlife, and there is Giheta, a small lake with a population of about 1,000 people.

This national dish is baked with grilled plantains, cooked bananas, rice, beans and a variety of spices. The price is about $5 for the whole dish, or $3 for a small portion of the dish and $4 for two pieces.
